Upward elbow strikes
Beginner10 repsNo jumping
How to do it
- Stand in a fighting stance, fists up guarding your face.
- Drive one elbow up and forward, as if striking an opponent under the chin, rotating your hips and shoulders into the movement and letting your rear heel pivot to power the strike from the ground up.
- Bring the arm back to guard and strike with the other elbow, alternating sides.
- The power comes from your whole body turning into each strike, not from the arm alone.
